SELECTING THE HOISTS AND WINCHES
It is important when selecting the correct hoisting and winching application to understand the differences. A winching application is designed to pull a load horizontally while a hoisting application is for lifting a load vertically. Understanding the environment is also a factor in determining what type of lifting equipment is required. For example is electricity available or safe ? What is the lifting capacity ? Is the load required to be a vertical or horizontal lift ?
